Currently, Chevron is using Streamline Innovations VALKYRIE™ H2S treatment plants in the Permian Basin region of New Mexico to treat sour gas so it can be sold.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (September 24, 2021) – Streamline Innovations today announced that Peter Photos, Ph.D., Chief Technical Officer, is scheduled to speak at the RNG Works Technical Workshop & Trade Expo being held on September 29-30, 2021. The presentation comes at a time of increasing interest in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) as a source of sustainable energy. Large utilities, including SoCal Gas, are looking to RNG as a cost-effective, carbon-neutral energy source for electric power generation. A recent study referenced by the utility “…shows that replacing less than 20 percent of the traditional gas supply with RNG captured from sources like dairies, wastewater treatment plants and landfills can achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions equivalent to converting 100 percent of buildings to electric only energy by 2030.”
