VALKYRIE® technology is Streamline Innovations' suite of H2S gas treating systems.  The Valkyrie system utilizes TALON® chemistry, our non-toxic, biodegradable Redox chemistry. In combination with our advanced automation and control technology, we have created “The Next Generation Redox” system.

The Redox Process

Redox, (Reduction-Oxidation) is a chemical reaction that converts H2S into elemental sulfur with chemistry that can be regenerated through an oxidation process.

The gas (i.e., Methane, CO2, other process gases) or air containing the H2S exits the system sweet (without H2S) and the sulfur is filtered from the regenerated chemistry where the chemistry is recirculated to perform the reaction again and the sulfur  is stored in a container available for reuse or disposal.

Widest Operating Envelope

VALKYRIE systems have the widest operating envelope of any H2S Treating method extending across the full spectrum of pressures, flow rates and H2S concentrations.  The VALKYRIE can be placed anywhere along the production stream whether at the wellhead or refinery, in a direct or tail gas treating configuration. The VALKYRIE has 100% turndown without losing treating efficiency.  We don’t just treat, we treat to established specifications for sales pipelines, gas lift and fuel gas.  In addition, the VALKYRIE with TALON treats other sulfur compounds in gas phase including mercaptans, sulfides, disulfides, and thiophenes. We specialize in meeting the most stringent outlet specifications.

All VALKYRIE units include our intelligence platform for local monitoring and automated controls as well as our robust SCADA system allowing remote monitoring, control and analytical capabilities.  Our portal is available for your smart phone, tablet and desktop.  We maintain a 24/7 control room to ensure highest uptime and operational integrity.  Streamline provides a range of operational support, from full turnkey operations to remote monitoring and analytical services.

VALKYRIE Systems

VALKYRIE Direct Treat systems are designed to remove H2S directly from a gas stream with pressures from 2 psig to 300 psig across a wide range of H2S concentrations and include:

VALKYRIE ULTRA™ – Direct treat of gas streams with sulfur loadings between 0.25 and 0.5 Long Ton Per Day (LTPD). Designed for applications with lower sulfur loadings including:
  • Upstream Oil & gas
  • Landfills
  • Small to Medium Sized Biogas
  • Wastewater Digester Gas
  • Decentralized Steam and Power Generators


VALKYRIE Skids – Direct treat of gas streams with sulfur loadings between 0.5 and 1.0 LTPD. Units can be run in parallel for higher treating capacities.  These units can also be designed to meet specific treating requirements. Designed for applications with moderate sulfur loadings and wider variations in gas flow and H2S concentrations including:
  • Upstream Oil & gas
  • Midstream Gas Processing
  • Renewable Fuel Refineries
  • Medium to Large Landfills
  • Large Biogas Facilities

VALKYRIE Plant – Direct treat for centralized facilities engineered to meet your specific treating requirements. Valkyrie Plants can be designed to for 2 LTPD’s to 20+ LTPD’s. These facilities are used in the following applications:

The SUPERVALKYRIE is an integrated Amine Plant and Valkyrie Acid Gas Treating Unit (AGTU) for treating both H2S and CO2.  Ideal for operations with higher gas flow volumes and lower inlet H2S concentrations or where higher treating pressures are required up to 1,400 psig.  The VALKYRIE AGTU is capable of treating extremely high H2S concentrations and delivering a sulfur free stream of CO2. Applications include:
  • Upstream Oil & Gas Centralized Production Facilities
  • Midstream Gas Processing Facilities
  • Downstream Refining
  • Renewable Fuel Refineries
  • Large Landfills
  • Centralized Stream and Power Generation
  • Helium Production and Refining
VALKYRIE Acid Gas Treating Units (AGTU) are designed to operate in conjunction with other H2S removal processes including Amine Plants where gas streams are generally between 4 psig and 30 psig and and have extremely high H2S concentrations in excess of 10%. The VALKYRIE AGTU will eliminate all remaining H2S to ensure compliance with regulatory or operational specifications.  Operations where AGTU’s are located include:
  • Upstream and Midstream Gas Processing Facilities
  • Downstream Crude Refineries
  • Renewable Fuel Refineries
  • Iron Refineries
  • CCUS Facilities

VALKYRIE Tail Gas Treating Units (VALKYRIE TGTU) are designed to treat the remaining sulfur compounds following sulfur recovery unit process such as Claus Plants and follow hydrogenation units. VALKYRIE TGTU’s are designed to eliminate the need for recirculation due to its high treating efficiencies.  The VALKYRIE TGTU’s operate at pressures below and generally send the remaining vent gas to a flare of thermal oxidizer. The VALKYRIE TGTU will eliminate all remaining H2S to reduce Title V air permitting requirements.
  • Only technology that removes 99.9% or more of sulfides
  • Eliminate the need for Title 5 and TCEQ Individual Air Emissions Permits for SO2
