Successful Installation of TALON® Sulfide Elimination System™

Streamline Innovations in partnership with VWT Industrial, recently completed a successful 14-day pilot project for wastewater odor control at a large food processing plant in South Dakota. Based on the successful pilot, the customer approved transition to a permanent TALON® Sulfide Elimination System™ (TSES) system installation.

The water from the plant’s wastewater treatment plant can discharge excessive amounts of H₂S to the municipal sewer system, generating substantial fines. Streamline was brought in by VWT to assess the problem and implement a quick solution.

The TSES system was brought in on a trial basis to evaluate its efficacy in controlling odors at the site.

Once the TSES was optimized, the customer has not had one fine since TSES implementation.

Process upsets and inclement weather created challenges, however, the TSES system once fully implemented with automation will provide consistent H₂S control for the customer.

We are excited about this partnership and look forward to more industrial H2S related opportunities in the future.

Successful Installation of TALON® Sulfide Elimination System

Streamline Innovations in partnership with VWT Industrial performed a successful 14-day pilot project that is now transitioning to a permanent TALON Sulfide Elimination System® (TSES™) system installation for H₂S treatment and wastewater odor control at a large pulp and paper mill in New York.

H₂S levels at the plant have been excessive for years, and the mill needed a solution that was quick to deploy and would generate immediate results to get odors under control and meet fence line limits.

Within days of TSES optimization, H₂S levels began to drop to acceptable levels.

Because of process upsets, changes to flows and weather, the situation was very challenging. However, both Streamline and VWT Industrial worked diligently to assess the issues and deploy quick solutions for supporting the customer.

Since the TSES system became operational, the mill has not received any fines from the air board.

TSES is one of Streamline’s differentiated technologies developed for Wastewater H₂S and Odor Control.

Successful Installation of TALON® Sulfide Elimination System

Streamline Innovations in partnership with HP Thompson, a Veolia Water Technologies representative, successfully piloted and installed a permanent TALON Sulfide Elimination System (TSES™) system for H₂S and other malodorous compound treatment in the belt press room at a wastewater treatment plant in central Ohio.

Historically, odors have been a persistent issue in the press building and have made working conditions difficult for plant personnel. Another product had been used but the results were not satisfactory to plant management.

The TSES chemistry was injected inline 2-3 minutes upstream from the belt press and successfully performed the REDOX process prior to discharge. The pressed sludge only had a mild compost aroma and plant personnel repeatedly remarked that it was comfortable to be in the press room for long durations without headaches or smelling offensive once they left the building.

Additionally, operating expenses were reduced by approximately 10%.
